Latest Makeup Haul From Benefit Cosmetics

It’s been quite a while since I shared any of my purchases and recommendations with you on Cupcakes and Cadenzas and so, on Saturday, I decided it was time for a bit of a makeup shopping spree and then a quick blog about my purchases.

My current favourite brand is Benefit Cosmetics. I love everything about their products. I love the quality, the packaging, the marketing, their website…everything! Some people have mentioned that they feel it’s a bit on the expensive side but, to be honest, you get what you pay for, their stuff lasts for ages AND you really don’t have to use a huge amount of product to see results.

So, without further ado, this is my haul:

Benefits Cosmetic Haul
I could look at this little collection forever!
Benefit Cosmetics Tin
A Tin Full of Fabulousness

This tinful of fabulousness, which the lovely Benefit rep ‘persuaded’ me to buy 😉 , is really for the up and coming party season but it’s filled with four of Benefit’s regular products and can absolutely be used at any time. There are three different tins to choose from, each with their own combination of products but this is the one I liked best. I was going to do a reveal of the contents today but it’s such a gorgeous thing in itself that I think I’ll have to do a separate little video about it so that I can really do it justice.

Benefit Cosmetics Fine One One

Benefit Cosmetics FOO Reveal
Inside Fine One One

I love Fine One One. It’s a lip and cheek brightener and, as you can see, it consists of three separate colours – pink champagne, watermelon and soft coral. All you have to do is glide it onto your cheeks (from the apple of your cheek to the temple) and/or lips then blend using your fingertips. This gives you instant “lift, shape and pop“. It really is fabulous.

Benefit Cosmetics Instant Comeback
Instant Comeback Facial Serum

Instant Comeback Facial Serum – it says on the box that it “instantly boosts the youthful look of skin” and, believe me, that’s exactly what it does. I love it! It feels a little sticky when you first put it on but that disappears very quickly and you’re left with skin that looks radiant, hydrated and all round energised. I personally like to use it in the morning underneath my day moisturiser but it can be used day or night.

Benefit Cosmetics Air Patrol
Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer

Not a great photo I’m afraid – not sure what happened there however, this is Benefit’s new Air Patrol eyelid primer. It hasn’t been out long and I haven’t used it before but I bought it as it sounded as though it might be just what I’ve been needing. It helps protect eyelids from the effects of sun, smoke and pollutants and has an SPF of 20. It’s also yellow based so lightens dark eyelids and allows eyeshadow to really pop.  I’ll let you know what I think of it once I’ve used it.

Benefit Cosmetics That Gal
“That Gal”

And finally…

“That Gal” – another product that I absolutely love and use every day. It’s a brightening face primer which can be worn under makeup or on its own. Until I found this I hated going out anywhere without some kind of foundation on but now I just blend on some of this, add a little bit of blusher, highlighter, lippy and mascara and et voila! a lovely bright, smooth, natural look.

Oh – almost forgot…

…another free Benefit cosmetic bag – they’re all different. This one was packed full of little samples, none of which I’ve tried before, including undereye gel, brightening makeup, facial emulsion, total moisturiser, brightening eye cream and waterproof eye makeup remover. Can’t wait to try them out.

So, I hope this has given you a little insight into Benefit Cosmetics. This is not a sponsored post and I am not affiliated with Benefit. I just happen to love the products and thought I would share them with you.

Don’t forget to check back soon for the reveal of ‘what’s in the tin’.

  1. This sounds just what I’m needing. Although I could really do with a make-up which promises sheer transformation. lol Do you think this might do the trick? Any advice would suffice! Good post. Jenni

    1. Thanks, Jenni. They don’t/won’t/can’t ‘guarantee’ a complete transformation but these products would be a great place to start then take it from there. It depends, of course, on just how much of a transformation you’re aiming for 😉
